Liminal Space: Sacred Rest & Recharge

May higher vibrations, higher power, and radiance shine through you!!

Liminal Space: Sacred Rest & Recharge

We can be fatigued, stressed, and overwhelmed from different angles of our lives, including the liminal space.

In these energetic states, it’s essential to realize that sleep is not the only way to rest and restore. Rest and restoration also come through various forms of energy, creative, emotional, nutritional, and spiritual work ‘specific’ to where you are now. The medicine and path now may not be the same as what has worked before; this is very common in the liminal space.

When there is a deep longing to restore inner strength, balance, mental clarity, creativity, vitality, joy, and higher vibration, sacred rest is how we take our power back.

About

There are many things, some even seeming trivial, nuanced, or unrelated, that energetically and vibrationally impact the state of our energy, and therefore the state of our well-being and the quality of our rest and our life force in the liminal space.

One thing is for sure, sleep and rest are not the same things. Sleep is only one way to rest. There are various ways to rest and recharge ourselves: mind, body, soul, energy, power, and potential.

Even when you need rest, you are still powerful. Even when it feels you are not making progress, you are. Rest your powerful self and expand your power in the liminal space.

In this class, we’ll explore the various chambers of sacred rest in the liminal space, so you can vibrate higher daily and live your power all the more, but from a restored, balanced, higher vibrational, and more magnetic state of being.

Contemplation Questions

We each have only so much energy to work with each day. What do we do when even that amount is at a deficit?

How can we tap into a great wealth of energy?

What are the things you’re being called to rest from and into?

Who are the people you are being called to rest from and into?

What is ‘higer timeline’ asking of you to make it through?

Class Notes

What to Know

Sleep and deep rest require peace.

  • A state of unrest is accumulative, including experiences from previous timelines, so please take your time restoring the Liminal Space.

  • Restlessness and fatigue do not have to be your liminal space' normal.

  • We are all at different phases of the liminal space. Some of us are just entering, some of us are in the middle of it, and some of us are near the threshold and ending of it. What emotions and beliefs are present at this phase you are in?

Liminal stress, anxiety, anger, and fatigue can set in when you're in a liminal space when it seems you're 'waiting' too long or in the 'unknown' for too long. Fear can even set in. The key is to use the proper codes in this space; it's never rushing but belief, preparation, and rest. This class offers some of the various codes.

We can be fatigued, stressed, and overwhelmed from different angles of our lives, including the liminal space.

In these energetic states, it's essential to realize that sleep is not the only way to rest and restore. Rest and restoration also come through various forms of energy, creative, emotional, nutritional, and spiritual work 'specific' to where you are now. The medicine and path now may not be the same as what has worked before; this is very common in the liminal space.

Many things, some even seeming trivial, nuanced, or unrelated, energetically and vibrationally impact our energy, and therefore, the state of our well-being and the quality of our rest, life force, mental function, and energetic capacity in this transformational and transitional space.

Liminal Space Care for Better Rest Health

Fine-Tune

Make small adjustments and improvements where and when necessary to stabilize in higher vibrational embodiment and on a higher vibrational timeline

Fine-tune what's out of tune in your life. Ex: your embodiment, beliefs systems, responses, your nutritional path, your space, energetic field.

Restlessness sometimes happens for a higher reason.

What is drawing you towards making a change? What is missing in your life?

What is calling you forth into a new way of being, thinking, experience or timeline?

Stay True to Your Higher Home Frequency

Other people's projections and expectations can cause you to feel fatigued and out of your home frequency.

You can be negatively encouraged to detour and deviate from your true nature and higher good.

Where is your energy going?

You are using up energy throughout the day when making decisions, doing chores, preparing meals, driving, shopping, running errands, giving of yourself and your time, learning, working, eating, socializing, browsing your devices, and so on.

Conscious Attention + Subconscious Attention

Although your conscious mind is only aware of certain things attention wise when you are focused on them, your subconscious mind is processing way more information than you realize and information that the conscious mind is not aware of.

Attention focus helps improve or decrease mental focus. What are you focusing on?

Attention affects energy levels.

Restorative care for both the mind and subconscious mind is essential.

Energy fluctuates

Our energy fluctuates and is governed by the biological clocks in our brains. Know your times of ebb and flow energy-wise throughout the day. Plan your activity and rest accordingly to your patterns. Notice transition phases between energy peaks and slumps. Use them to your benefit.

BioHacking Rest: My Experience with Targeting Rest through Neurochemistry

(not medical advice)

Neurotransmitters in your brain matter, they support your energy phases and govern how your energy interacts with your experiences.

Neurotransmitter imbalance can cause persistent health issues that affect your state of well-being and rest.

Adrenal fatigue feels like an overall decline in energy and life-force: mind/body. It disrupts your body's natural, adaptive feedback loops, forcing you to draw on your reserves to respond to life's ups and downs. Supporting your neurochemistry is a way to support adrenal health.

Norepinephrine

  1. Balanced: is very similar to epinephrine (adrenaline). It's a chemical governing/involved in wakefulness, memory, alertness, energy, and generally readying the brain, therefore the body, for action when challenged. It governs you if you are in a state of perceived threat. (Flight of flight)

  2. Out of Balance: lack of focus, energy, and motivation when levels are too low, or hyperactivity, stress, anxiety, insomnia, and blood sugar imbalance when levels are too high.

  3. Norepinephrine Support: hormone balancing herbs, teas, or supplements, bananas, cacao/chocolate, music, sleep, exercise and physical movement, day-to-day accomplishments, and things that make you feel happy and boost serotonin.

Acetylcholīne

  1. Balanced: boosts attention, alertness, learning, memory, muscle movements, healthy metabolism.

  2. Out of Balance: brain fog, learning difficulties, memory problems, difficulty recalling words when speaking, emotional instability

  3. Acetylcholine Support: foods or supplements rich in choline, ex: cauliflower, sprouted nuts, and seeds.

Glutamate

  1. Balanced: The most abundant neurotransmitter found in the nervous system plays a role in cognitive functions such as memory and learning.

  2. Out of Balance: neurotoxicity, decreased mood, sleep disruptions, digestive issues, fatigue, low brain function, and memory.

  3. Glutamate Support: hormone balancing herbs, teas, or supplements, relaxing herbs like lemon balm and chamomile, exercise and physical movement, clean lifestyle, chemical-free nutrition and lifestyle, low-glutamate foods, high fiber vegetables, nuts and seeds, and healthy fats like avocados and avocado oil, and Omega-3 and Omega-6 fats in the correct ratios.

Cortisol

  1. Balanced: Helps the body respond to stress and pain. Boosts energy levels. It helps to regulate healthy blood sugar levels, blood pressure, immune response, and metabolism.

  2. Out of Balance: easily stressed, mood swings, irritability, weakness, fatigue, anxiety, sleep disruption, immune suppression, weight gain.

  3. Cortisol Support: hormone balancing herbs, calming teas such as lemon balm, chamomile, and stinging nettle, natural supplements such as vitamin D and B12/B complex, adaptogens like Ashwagandha and Rhodiola, magnesium, flower essences like Clematis, Rescue Remedy, or Elm, sun exposure, reduce stimulant intakes like caffeine, processed foods, and white sugar, meditation, relaxed breaths, and breathwork practice, exercise and physical movement, somatic movement/dance, gratitude practice, warm baths followed by a cold soak or shower, massage, acupuncture, and doing things that make you feel happy and boost serotonin, mindfulness practices, restorative practices, avoiding artificial light 30 mins before bedtime. (See/try the Flux app for this). Sleep in a dark room. Elevating legs above heart level, also known as ‘legs up a wall’ for 20 mins. (*Can be done using a wall, regular pillow, leg elevation pillow, inversion chair, regular chair, stool, or other appropriate support.

Dopamine

  1. Balanced: known as the feel-good neurotransmitter, dopamine is involved in reward, pleasure, confidence, and motivation.

  2. Out of balance: lack of motivation, memory, and focus. Impulsiveness and overly focused on outside validation and attention.

  3. Dopamine Support: balancing herbs like Ginkgo Biloba, oregano oil, turmeric, supplements like Vitamin D, and magnesium, music, massage, sun exposure, sleep, meditation, mindfulness practices, restorative practices, adaptogens like Ashwagandha and Rhodiola, and probiotics, ritualize your joy and boost serotonin levels.

Serotonin

  1. Balanced: the "happiness molecule" that contributes to the feeling of calm and joyfulness. It eases depression and anxiety, supports healthy sleep cycles, balances emotional energy, and decreases overactive appetite.

  2. Out of Balance: depression, low mood, aggression, impulsiveness, digestive issues, sleep disruption, carb, and sugar cravings.

  3. Serotonin Support: increase healthy protein intake, massages, affection, warm baths, heat therapy, relaxing music, exercise and physical movement, sun exposure, herbs remedies such as St. John's wort or Clematis flower essence, hormone-balancing herbs, teas or supplements, probiotics, and fermented foods.

Energy + Space Clearing

Where the Energy is Hiding

Stress and fear can be complex, elusive, and mysterious. Unidentified, and yet they are responsible for many side effects. Once we find where stress and fear are hiding within us and in our lives, we can take steps towards taking our power back and regaining control of ourselves.

We know that frequency, energy, and spiritual forces exist even though we can't see them, and they're invisible? Well, because like dark matter in outer space, even though we can't see it, it affects us in various and sometimes strange ways; and that's something we can see. Also, like dark matter in outer space can't be seen, it can only be felt because of its powerful impact on space. Dark matter exerts 'gravitational force', meaning that it draws other matter towards it.

So too, stress, worry, and low vibrations are forces in your life that are unstable energies and exert 'gravitational force', meaning they draw other energies towards them; it's a magnetic thing.

Can you identify 'hotspots' in your life where higher levels of stress, overwhelm, worry, impatience, and fear may be concentrated?

This identification process will let you know where to practice alchemy and transmute the energy into a better and higher vibration.

  • Where is there a burden in your life?

  • What are you carrying that may be too heavy?

  • Extended time in stress and overwhelm?

House Clearing During the Liminal Space

Energy imbalances and stagnation can arise due to the need for a house and space clearing due to:

  • Previous tenant energy

  • Land energy

  • Community energy

  • Arguments in the home

  • Sickness in the home

  • Death in the home

  • Stagnant energy in the home

  • Fear in the home

  • Toxic energy let into the home/space via guests, conversations, television, computer, books, objects, or music

  • Low vibrational words spoken in or over the home

  • Among other ways

Some of the tools that can be used to support energy clearing and home blessing:

  • Sage smudging,

  • Bell or chime work

  • Working with Eucalyptus leaves or essential oil and mists.

  • Working with Peppermint essential oil

  • Frankincense and Myrrh essential oils.

  • The sound of the elements: earth, wind, water, fire

  • Fire element: candles, fireplace, boiling detoxifying herbs

  • Prayer

  • Affirmations

  • Chantings

  • Singing

  • Drumming

  • Alter activation and work

  • Disinfection of surfaces and deodorizing with natural hinoki/cedar or cypress-based disinfectants and deodorizers. Also known as phytoncide.

  • Clean regularly

  • Placing salt in corners for a few weeks to absorb negative energy

  • Higher 'flow' in the home by decluttering and making more space for higher vibrations to enter the home

  • Anointing the home with sacred oils like Lotus, Rose, or Frankincense and Myrrh or with 'Florida Water'

Spiritual, Mental + Ego-Rest

Spiritual Rest

Spiritual rest is not about being inactive, but a way of active living, doing and signaling, that embodies deep restfulness of the mind, body, and soul as a lifestyle, path, and practice. Through equanimity, we can walk in the higher path and find rest in it. Rest from burdens, stress, worry, fear, restlessness, anxiousness, heaviness, and other lower vibrations. Our equanimity is empowered and informed by higher faith, higher purpose, and a higher power. The Divine, for example, we can rest in the sacredness of divine timing and order and, therefore, in The Divine.

Think of:

  • A Friend you can rest in

  • A safe and environment place you can rest in

  • Healing and empowering words you can rest in

Rooted Up

May everything within the garden of your mind and life no longer serving your higher good be rooted. Clear it all out because it is not of The Divine or of your higher vibrational timeline. Energetic weeds may start small, such as low vibrational beliefs, negative thoughts and habits, and low vibrational outside energies and influences. Still, if not checked and rooted up, they can grow and take up more and more space in the garden of your life.

Can you think of any energetic weeds that have taken root in your inner garden and life?

  • Check the source of your thoughts and actions.

  • Is the world around you influencing you to live and operate outside of your divine order, purpose, calling, and timing of your liminal space?

  • Are your decisions, motives, and actions based on high vibrational beliefs or fear?

  • Living outside of divine order is exhausting and stressful.

  • Stressful living causes illness on the body ex: HBP, stroke, taxed adrenals, unhealthy nutritional habits, and so on.

Come Home to Yourself, Come home to Your Body

Stress, overwhelm, and impatience can cause us to leave our bodies energetically. Coming home to ourselves is how we take our power back.

  • What is the state of my mind?

  • How are you feeling in your body?

  • Is there tension in the body? If so, where?

  • Is there peace? If so, where?

Finding a light path daily, not a heavy one.

Bring rest to your mind, body, life through wellness choices and restorative practices.

Are you living Auto-pilot or Self-Regulation?

Do you know how to self-regulate your overdoing, impatience, anxiousness, busyness, overthinking, agitation, feelings, and inner-suffering?

Focus on re-aligning yourself and creating a thriving environment to sustain high vibrations.

Ego-Exhaustion

Is your ego exhausting you?

  • Stop reacting to everything or having to speak on it?

  • Do you have performance fatigue?

  • Attract, don't chase, or hustle. If you go so hard hustle-wise, what state will you be in when you reach your goals?

  • Slow down, and allow stillness and mind purification to be a part of your manifestation success.

Are you on the best and correct timeline for you? Have you reevaluated your desire and who you are now? Does what you are after and who you are now resonate with your higher self?

Body Wellness

Stay Hydrated

DRINK PLENTY OF CLEAN, FILTERED WATER DAILY.

We can experience energy loss due to minor dehydration, which is a common cause of daytime fatigue.

Maintain an Alkaline Nutritional Path

MAINTAIN AN ALKALINE DIET

  1. Nothing is said to age us quicker or put more mucus in the body than an acidic nutrional path.

  2. Human blood pH should be slightly alkaline (7.35 - 7.45).

  3. Below or above this range prouces symptoms and dis-ease and illness. An acidic pH can occur from an acid-forming diet.

  4. Aim for a nutritional lifestyle containing 60% alkaline foods and 40% acid foods.

  5. Alkaline foods raise our vibration, increase our life force, and boost of overall state of health.

Psychoneuroimmunology

REDUCE STRESS AND RELEASE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS

  1. Interactions between the mind and the nervous and immune systems is called Psychoneuroimmunology.

  2. Our mind and emotions play a role in many illnesses, diseases, and digestive problems.

  3. Realistically, negative emotions will show up. You can, however, train yourself to recognize these feelings and address them before they "hijack" you and take you prisoner.

  4. Do mindfulness work or simply take some time out to deal with the stress and to self-regulate.

Mitochondria Health and Energy (Mitochondria Health Testing is available for this)

Mitochondria are responsible for orchestrating cellular energy production in the body.

Age-related energy loss is when the body has fewer mitochondria.

Mitochondria help turn the energy we take from food into energy that the cell can use. Present in nearly all types of human cells, mitochondria are vital to our survival. They generate the majority of the energy currency of our cells.

"A deficit of cellular energy production is said to explain an overall lack of motivation and self-esteem seen in anxiety-prone people." [Source]

Mitochondria support:

  • Healthy fats, proteins, and carbs

  • Oxygen: Breathwork and relaxed breathing

  • Proper hydration

  • Heat therapy such as sauna use, has been shown to increase the efficiency of mitochondria.

  • Get in at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily.

  • Stress reduction and relaxation techniques like meditation, baths, or massage daily.

  • Prioritize 8 hours of sleep every night. Release neural waste.

Highly Sensitive Person Care

Sensory or mental overload? Look for cues and biofeedback that you are being overstimulated and need rest in a particular area.

  • Preplan to lessen stress.

  • Use neurochemistry to boost energy, mental function, and overall well-being.

  • Sit in prayer and/or meditation daily to attune your frequency to a higher resonance.

  • Warmth is medicine. Heat therapy: a heating pad, heating blanket, a warm cup of tea can support the mind and body in relaxing and restoring.

  • Visualize yourself being in the presence and arms of The Divine or a loved one (present or ascended).

  • What works for some people may not work for others. Learning more about your body and what may trigger your fatigue is helpful. Take note of what's helping and not helping you thrive.

  • Create a pathway that helps you get through the day with success and balance.

  • Revisit the sections throughout this text for further support ideas.

  • Journey in grace, always.
