Facing Your Fears to Free Your Light
Steps Toward Divine Alignment and Faith
How It Started / How It’s Going
Fear used to feel like a heavy fog in my life, hovering over every step I desired to take. For years, and I mean long years, I kept my light tucked away, too afraid of what others in my life might think if I let it shine fully and if I took up more empowered and authentic space. The fear of being judged, misunderstood, mocked, or even rejected kept me from stepping fully into my divine calling and divine life path. But somewhere deep within, I knew there was more for me and my destiny than this defeated and limited reality.
Now, fear no longer looms over me like a prison guard; it walks beside me as a guide and purposeful teacher. What once held me back has become the very thing that pushes me forward. I’ve learned to face fear with faith-consciousness, to see it as a reminder of the light and authenticity within me that’s longing to break free.
Through this faith-consciousness and courage, I’ve strengthened my connection to my divine essence, the Lalah you see today, the version of myself writing to you now.
Facing Fear to Free Your Light
Fear often feels like a shadow, doesn’t it? It tells us programmed stories about why we can’t, why we shouldn’t, or why we’re not enough (on repeat and loop). But what I’ve discovered is that fear wasn’t here to dim me/us; it’s here to grow and expand us.
In my own journey, I came face-to-face with fear in the form of ‘visibility anxiety,’ as I call it. I was terrified to share my work with the world, afraid of what others might think or say. The vulnerability of putting my truth and self out there felt overwhelming and too much for a very long time. But through faith, prayer, nervous system care, and intentional steps, I began to release my own fear-based programming slowly but surely over time.
I started by understanding fear as a consciousness, something that existed within me but didn’t define me, and that “Fear is not of God.”
It says in the Holy Bible, “God does not give us a spirit of fear, but rather a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Another translation reminds us: “For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.” When we truly understand this and move like we believe it with our actions, we begin to gain power over fear.
In Buddhism, Buddha taught that fear is an illusion and that facing it can lead to freedom. Fearlessness, according to the Buddha’s teachings, means we are no longer afraid of fear itself.
This wisdom can be applied through reflection, mindfulness, practice, and divine, faith-filled action. It is about cultivating what I call an “open-heart posture”, a willingness to step forward, even when fear is present. It aligns with the growth spectrum I share in class, which I will explain more about later.
For me, this journey required deep reflection, intentional practice, and courageous action. I had to take accountability for my limiting beliefs, even though many were not my fault. Slowly, this shifted everything. With this new consciousness, fear alchemized into a signal, a nudge that I was stepping into new territory. It was no longer an enemy. It became my guide.
From there, I leaned deeply into faith consciousness. Moving from fear consciousness to faith consciousness wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. I began to trust that the divine had a plan for me, that my light was meant to be seen for a higher purpose, and that I was divinely protected every step of the way on this sacred, divine life path.
This faith-filled consciousness gave me the courage to move in a way that was no longer constricted or controlled by the opinions of others. Even when those feelings arise, they no longer stop me. I can now allow myself to be witnessed by those I might have hidden from before. Faith-consciousness and nervous system care helps me stand in my light, unapologetically, and continues to expand my ability to do so.

Lessons from the Growth Spectrum
One of the most transformative teachings on this journey was understanding what I call ‘the growth spectrum’, inspired by Pema Chödrön’s teachings on the comfort zone, the challenge zone, and the high-risk zone. (Discussed in this theme’s class).
At first, my comfort zone was necessary. It provided a space for healing, stability, and building readiness. But as time went on, fear kept me stuck there. I was too afraid to stretch beyond what felt safe in my mind, body, and energy, and I didn’t yet fully realize that I was ready to move forward.
As I leaned further into faith consciousness and engaged in mind, body, and energy healing, I found myself moving into the challenge zone, a space of transformation and deeper growth through discomfort and the unknown. Over time, what once felt like the high-risk zone, where I wasn’t ready and everything felt overwhelming, began to feel more manageable. It shifted into the challenge zone, and as I took small, consistent actions, that challenge zone eventually became a healthy comfort zone.
This process is cyclical. At new stages of your journey, you’re called from comfort to challenge to success, and then the cycle begins again. It’s the sacred flow of the river of life that guides us forward.
It was here that I discovered willingness and workability, the keys to transformation. I had to be willing to let go of perfection, to show up imperfectly, and to trust the process. Workability meant staying present and finding solutions, even when fear whispered doubts in my ear. These practices transformed my relationship with fear and allowed me to keep moving forward.
Living in Divine Alignment
As I continued to release fear, I stepped into a deeper alignment with The Divine’s purpose for my life. This has been the most soul-rewarding place to be. Living in divine alignment has been the most liberating experience, knowing that I’m walking the path has set my light free.
And this is what I pray for you, too. Fear doesn’t have to hold you back. It can become the very catalyst that frees you and your light free. When you take steps toward faith-consciousness and divine alignment, you create spiritual and energetic space for yourself to radiate, shine, and grow in more ways you never imagined.
This journey from fear to faith, from hesitation to divine alignment, has taught me that every step matters. It’s not about moving quickly or perfectly. It’s about moving with intention, trusting that The Divine is walking alongside you.
Fear may still visit me from time to time, but I now see it as a reminder that I am expanding and being offered an opportunity to perform spiritual alchemy on my path. It’s an invitation to grow, to trust more deeply, and to remain liberated.
Wherever you are in your journey, I want you to know this: your light is powerful, sacred, and meant to be seen and witnessed. You are not alone in this process. Every fear you face is an opportunity to step closer to the life The Divine has prepared for you. Let faith guide you, and watch as your light transforms not only your world but the world around you.

A Closing Invitation
As you reflect on this theme, I invite you to take a quiet moment to sit with your fears. Instead of pushing them away, ask them what they’ve come to teach you. Hold them with compassion, knowing that they are not here to harm you but to guide you toward growth.
Picture your light, the radiant, divine essence within you, growing stronger with every step you take in faith. See that light breaking through the clouds of fear, illuminating the path ahead. Know that the divine is with you in every step, encouraging you to move forward, no matter how small the movement may feel.
You are already so much braver than you know, and your light has the power to inspire others in ways you can’t yet imagine. Let this be the month you say yes to faith, yes to alignment, and yes to freeing your light.
Let these declarations remind you of your power, your purpose, and the divine alignment that awaits when you choose faith over fear.
